The search for guest artists for the upcoming season at Two Horse Gallery is coming together.  The gallery will be opening the first weekend in May and we are very excited to let you know that along with new pieces that our home artists have been working on over the winter months, the following guest artists will be joining us:

Donna Griffin-Smith – An avid outdoor enthusiast, Donna’s experiences when hiking, paddling and wilderness camping provide the inspiration and subject matter for her water colour paintings.

Mountain Stream painting

Don Smith –  Don is a bird carver whose style ranges from capturing his subjects in a realistic way to something a little more on the whimsical side.

Saw Whet Owl carving

Ellen Jewett – The art of sculpture is Ellen’s realm and you will be amazed by her fun and fanciful creations. To Ellen, sculpting is about life, biological narratives, emotions, movement, balance and observations about life’s subtleties and overtures.  She has always worked by the principle that materials should conform to her vision, rather than confine her vision to the limits of a material.

Dragon carving

Sylvia Bouchard – Another Muskoka resident, Sylvia is a fibre artist who works mainly with textiles, wool and threads.  She enjoys the challenge of using available material and commercial fabrics to achieve the desired effects in her works, which range from landscapes, soft sculpture and textured quilts to traditional needlecrafts.
