Have you ever been curious about far away lands? How about Africa?
Two Horse Gallery is very excited to be hosting “A Glimpse of Africa” on Saturday, August 9th, 2014. Artist and scientist Julie Bowen will be here showing and talking about her experiences in Africa and telling stories about her trips to Botswana, Tanzania and Zambia and how they inspired her wildlife watercolour paintings.
Also on hand will be Mike Haines of Safari and Company, the perfect guy to ask any questions you may have about the ins and outs of travel to this incredible continent. I have been told my more than one person that the experience of a trip to Africa will change your life forever!
Julie’s background in biology gives her special insight into the nature of these amazing animals and she tries as much as possible to see them in their natural habitat. Returning home from her trips with hundreds, if not thousands of photographs she then spends countless hours studying each and every one to find the perfect picture (or sometimes combination of pictures) to paint.
The Art Show will take place between 1 pm and 4 pm, followed by a presentation by both Julie and Mike. Seating is limited, so please RSVP your intent to sit in on the presentations. Light refreshments will be served.
